Launch of the Lyxor Robotics & AI UCITS ETF

Lyxor announced the launch of Lyxor Robotics & AI UCITS ETF. To develop this new ETF, Lyxor used the in-depth knowledge of Societe Generale’s Corporate and Investment Banking thematic research team[1].

The objective of this ETF is to track the upward and downward movement of the Rise of the Robots NTR Index[2] index (available in USD) to provide exposure to a basket of shares in companies which are dedicated to the development of artificial intelligence, automation and robotics or which benefit from the use of these advanced technologies.

This index offers exposure to the performance of 150 companies in this sector[1]. The values chosen are the companies obtaining the best ratings according to the following three criteria: share of Research & Development expenses divided by net sales, return on invested capital and sales growth over three years.

ETFs on the theme of robotics recorded a collection of € 1 billion this year bringing assets under management to € 3.7 billion[3] in Europe. These capital inflows reflect growing investor interest as the robotics and artificial intelligence companies form an increasingly established industry. Some analysts anticipate that industry companies will be able to generate $ 90 billion in revenue by 2025[4]. Revenue estimates are only a projection and are not a reliable indicator of future results.

The fund is listed on Xetra, Borsa italiana and London Stock Exchange and has ongoing charges of 0.40% (as of 21/09/2018).
